Memebox Mini Benton Trial Kit - Unboxing & Review!

The secret's out: Korean skincare is light years ahead of American skincare, at least ingredient-wise. A lot of recently popular (and newly accepted) ingredients like snail slime and bee venom, have been widely available in Korean products for a long time now (they've been in products in the US as well, but mostly secretly, or in a "luxury" setting. It always amused me to tell people one of the first ingredients in the It Cosmetics CC Cream is snail slime). I'm still kind of surprised that there are still people who refuse to try these (kinda-sorta) new-to-the-US skincare ingredients because they think they're gross or unsanitary.
For this post, I want to share with you the Mini Benton Trial Kit from Memebox, a Korean beauty website. Memebox has changed a lot in the last few years, but it's grown into a great resource for people in the US when it comes to purchasing Korean makeup, skin care, and hair care products! This box is currently available from and it is $8 (for a $16 value).
Originally, Memebox was based in Korea (it technically still is), but now they have a branch in the US; all the products on ship from inside the US, so shipping is inexpensive (free shipping on any orders $35+) and quick. Yay! Memebox used to be focused on boxes (hence the name), but now they are more focused on individual products. You can still buy value/mystery boxes, though, and this is one such value box (it's not a mystery, though).
I ordered a few products together, so everything came in a standard, pink Memebox box, but this box came in it's own special box (boxboxbox). It has a cute little face on it, almost like a seal...
And when you open it up, it has a huge smile! I have no idea what this has to do with anything (it's a Memebox brand-box, not a Benton one), but it's adorable and I love it.
There is an info card included with the box (it actually came outside the box, but it does fit inside, so I'm not sure why), which lists all the products along with size and retail value. All the samples in this box are deluxe-sized, except the mask, which is full sized, and they all have a $2 value.
I wish the info card gave usage directions as well, though you can find that easily enough on the website. All of these products, except the cleansing foam, are made with snail slime and bee venom or with aloe. You do have to be careful if you are allergic to bees, as any products that include bee venom can cause you to have an allergic reaction.
In order to fit in the box, the mask was folded in half and taped with a sticker. This kind of annoys me, but for no good reason since it doesn't damage the mask or anything.
And here are all the products in the box! The foil packet was actually a freebie that I found floating around in my big box, so I included it with the Benton box since it's a Benton sample. Included in this box are deluxe sizes of the Honest Cleansing Foam (this is also in the Mini K-Beauty Travel Kit), Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel, Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream, Aloe BHA Skin Toner, Snail Bee High Content Lotion, Snail Bee High Content Essence, and Snail Bee High Content Skin (this is another toner).

For $8, you get a lot of products to sample, and you get almost a whole skin care routine, including a cleanser, toner, essence, moisturizer, and face mask. If you end up liking any of these products enough to purchase the full size, they are readily available and easy to purchase directly from Memebox. If you're looking to try out some K-Beauty products, or are particularly interested in trying things from the brand Benton, I would highly recommend checking out this box!

Thanks for reading! <3
