Sephora Favorites Bronze Bares-All Set - Unboxing, Swatches, & First Impressions!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! For this post, I wanted to take a more in-depth look at the Sephora Favorites Bronze Bares-All set!

This was part of my #TreatYoSelf haul (if you're getting sick of seeing these products, don't worry, it's almost over!), but I did a separate video on it (and now this separate blog post) since I wanted to take time to swatch and talk about my first impressions about all the fun products in this collection.

I love these Sephora Favorites sets and I love bronze colors for summer, so I was really excited when pictures of this set first showed up on Instagram! I kept checking to see if this set would pop up in store, but I have yet to see it in the wild. I ended up purchasing my Bronze Bares-All kit online, which actually ended up being better since I got a special bonus sample!
Ooo, look at all the pretties!

Make Up For Ever Artist Palette Vol. 2 - Artistic - Swatch and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! For this post, I wanted to take a more in-depth look at my new Make Up For Ever Artist Palette Vol. 2 - Artistic! This palette was part of my recent #TreatYoSelf haul, but I also did a separate video with my first impressions and live swatches.
I've had my eye on this palette for a while now, and I purchased it from Sephora.com as soon as I had the extra money. I've heard a lot of really good things about MUFE's gel-powder formula and, since I've never owned any MUFE shadows before, I figured a palette would be the best way to experience them!
I believe you can buy all the colors included in this palette separately, but at $42 for nine different shadows, I would recommend picking up the palette if many of these colors interest you.

Korean Skincare Haul From Forever21 & Urban Outfitters - PureDerm, Baroness, Lassie'el, The Face Shop, & Kocostar!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! For this post I wanted to share with you guys some Korean skincare products that I picked up from Forever21 and Urban Outfitters! This is another chunk from my #TreatYoSelf haul, which you can watch in it's entirety here:
If you've watched my videos or read some of my blog posts, you'll know that I'm a huge fan of Korean (and Asian) skincare products. I feel like Korean skincare is a lot more focused on using really good, effective ingredients, regardless of how "weird" they are (the best example of this is snail mucus) and taking your time to treat your skin right. A lot of American skincare products seem more focused on speed and being inexpensive, and I feel that the quality of products suffers because of that.

Luckily, it seems to be getting easier and easier to find Korean skincare products here in the US, even if you don't live near an import store (it's much easier to get imported stuff on the coasts, for obvious reasons). Two well known retailers, Forever21 and Urban Outfitters, carry a pretty good selection of Korean products (Sephora is starting to carry a lot more Korean brands as well, which is exciting!) for fairly reasonable prices.

Nail Polish Haul and Swatches - OPI, China Glaze, Formula X, and Models Own!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I'm continuing with more bite-sized chunks of my #TreatYoSelf haul, this time focusing on the nail polishes I got! If there's one makeup product that I am truly an addict for and/or collector of, it's nail polishes. They come in pretty much any color and finish you can think of, and what I especially like is that they very rarely go bad; most of the time they dry up slightly and you just need to add a little nail polish thinner (please don't ever use nail polish remover to thin your polishes! It will ruin them in the long run) to get it back to normal.

As with all these posts, I'm going to include the #TreatYoSelf haul video (unless the product(s) I'm talking about have a video of their own, which a few do) in case you're interested in seeing what other fun things I purchased. Otherwise, click below to see all the pretty polishes I got!

Lipstick Queen - Frog Prince and Queen Bee - Swatch & Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! For this post, I wanted to share with you guys two new Lipstick Queen lipsticks that I recently picked up; Frog Prince and Queen Bee! These lipsticks were part of my big #TreatYoSelf haul, but instead of doing one massive haul post, I thought I'd try breaking things up into smaller chunks. I will include the video of my #TreatYoSelf haul, though, in case you're interested in seeing what else I got!
Lipstick Queen is a higher end cosmetics brand that makes (almost!) exclusively lip products. The creator/founder of Lipstick Queen is a lovely woman named Poppy King: "When the eighteen year old Poppy King failed to find her perfect lipstick in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia, she could have given up on lipstick altogether, but instead she took a rather different approach: she decided to create her own range of lipsticks." (which is quoted from the "About" section of the Lipstick Queen website). You can purchase Lipstick Queen products online, from Nordstrom, and from Ulta, which is where I got mine.
I'll start with Frog Prince.

Ulta Beauty Love Your Hair Event Kits - Bronze Goddess, Calling All Curls, & Protect Your Color - Unboxing & First Impressions!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! Still frantically posting; hopefully I get everything done in time!

I'm going to do something a little different with these next few posts; I have a moderately sized beauty/makeup haul I have labelled the #TreatYoSelf haul!
Instead of doing one, gigantic haul post, I thought I'd try and split things up, making a bunch of posts about just one or two items. I'll embed the Youtube video of the whole haul in each post, but I think it will be easier, both on me and you!, to make smaller, more in-depth posts.

For my first post in this series, I'm going to focus on the special hair sampler sets available from Ulta during their Love Your Hair event, going on now until May 30th. There are five different kits available and I purchased three of them: Bronze Goddess, Calling All Curls, and Protect Your Color. The price stickers say the retail value of the products inside (my sets range in value from $43 to $74) and lists the price of each kit as $20. I'm not sure if it's a promotion going on only during the event, but these kits are on "sale" for $9.99 each.

May 2015 Glamour Doll Eyes Of The Month - Tattoo - Unboxing and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I'm continuing to try and post ALL THE THINGS and time is really getting away from me!

For this post, I want to share with you my May 2015 Glamour Doll Eyes Of The Month (GDE OTM, respectively)!

The GDE OTM is an indie subscription service that costs $10 a month, which includes shipping. Each month you receive at least one full sized loose shadow (the "of the month") which is valued at $6, plus extras (which can either be from GDE or from other companies). Since there are only a few slots available (GDE is an independent beauty company run by the lovely Vee), it's kind of tricky to get a subscription. I believe Vee is going to launch the new OTM website soon, but I would recommend joining the Facebook group if you're interested in getting one (there's a waitlist I think you can join).
The theme this month was "Tattoo" and, since it's also Vee's birth month (I think today is her actual birthday!), she included a bunch of fun extras!

Julep May 2015 Mystery Box - Version 1 - Unboxing and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I apologize in advance for the probably glut of posts that I will be putting up today; I'm falling a little behind and we're going to go see family tomorrow for Memorial Day, so I want to get everything blogged so I can give my mom the items I don't want/can't use!

For this post, I want to share with you guys my Julep May 2015 Mystery Box! Julep is beauty brand that started out mainly as a nail polish and hand/nail care brand and that has expanded to include makeup, haircare, and skincare products. They have two (?) salons in Seattle and I believe they recently (or will soon) added a salon in New York.

Julep also offers a subscription service called Julep Maven where, every month, they release a new collection of nail polish and beauty items. I've been with Julep for quite a long time now, and one of the reasons why is that they let you skip a month if you don't like the colors/products, instead of forcing you to get things you don't want or need. I've been skipping months kind of frequently, and the last few mystery boxes have had some products that I wanted, so I decided to get a mystery box this month. I also had a $15 credit because someone was kind enough to use my referral link to sign up for Julep Maven, so I got some add-ons as well (you can't use the $15 credit on the actual mystery box). If you're interested in signing up, you can either go to the Julep website that I linked above, or you can use my referral link here (which I will really appreciate!
Also, I've heard that you can get your box for free (you just pay shipping) if you use someone's referral link, but I haven't tried it for myself).

May 2015 Birchbox - Cupcakes & Cashmere - Unboxing and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great weekend! It's been sprinkling off and on here, but the weather is pretty nice; not too cold, not too warm, not too gloomy - I'm pretty happy with it!

For this post I wanted to share with you my May 2015 Birchbox! This month's box was curated by Emily from the blog Cupcakes & Cashmere. I remember a long time ago reading the blog, but it didn't really catch my attention. The motto of the blog is "Elevate Everyday Life" which is a good motto, but sometimes, I'm just too dang lazy!
Birchbox is a $10 a month subscription service where you get about five beauty and lifestyle samples to try. Unlike Ipsy, 90% of the samples you receive will be deluxe sized samples; very rarely will you get a full sized item (though I don't think you'll ever get a foil packet as one of your five samples; you may get them for your bonus samples, though). While the value of the samples you receive tends to be lower than with Ipsy (I've always gotten at least what I paid for, though), Birchbox has a much better rewards system. For every product you receive, including any bonus samples, you can earn 10 Birchbox points for a review. Once you hit 100 points, you get $10 off anything in the Birchbox store. Basically, you're paying $5 for Birchbox to mail you some samples and then you're putting $5 away to spend in the store. On top of your points, Birchbox always has coupon codes for 20% off your order over $35 and if a brand is featured in that month's box, you get free shipping. Awesome. If you're interested in signing up for Birchbox, you can either use my referral link here (which I would appreciate greatly!) or you can just go to the Birchbox website (which is linked at the top of this paragraph).
Mmm, creamsicle orange.

May 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag - Jetsetter - Unbagging and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great start to your Memorial Day weekend! Unfortunately, I do work today, but I did somehow manage to get Sunday and Monday off, without even having to ask for it! Unfortunately, my husband works, so I don't think I'll be able to do anything special anyways, but it's nice to have some time to relax.

In this post, I want to share with you guys what I got in my May 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag! Ipsy is a $10 a month beauty subscription service where you get five samples/full sized products plus a unique bag that changes every month. It's one of my favorite subscription services, especially since they seem to have stepped up the quality and value of the samples over the past few months. If you're interested in signing up, you can do so at the Ipsy website, or you can use my referral link here. I will be very thankful if you do use my link, and you may benefit as well since I've heard that you get off the waitlist faster if you use someone's referral link.
The theme this month is Jetsetter, though I've found that the theme of the bag really only affects the design of the monthly bag and what kind of pictures they use on the info card.

Beauty Haul Time! - OPI, Sephora, Birchbox, and More!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I'm getting caught up on my blog posts today so I can get my desk cleared off and ready for my next haul (...which is already piling up on the floor in front of my desk)!

For this post, I have a moderately-sized, nail polish heavy, beauty haul to share. I already did an in-depth post on one of these items, but I did want to include it in the haul since I did include it in my haul video.

I'm still toying around with haul videos/posts vs. in-depth videos/posts and how I should delegate what items are included in which.

Darling Clandestine - Indie Perfume! - Haul and First Sniffs!

Hello! Hope you're all having a great day! It's cold and gloomy but I'm off of work and have some pretty and good smelling things to share with you guys!

I recently placed and received another order from Darling Clandestine, an indie fragrance company. I've been itching to try more of their products ever since I got my Don Gato solid perfume (...I don't actually wear it, but I love to smell it when I feel stressed out and anxious. It seriously smells exactly like a cat and it's very, very comforting) and I finally got some! Evonne, the owner of DC, had a mini end of spring/before summer restock and there were two items that I had to get (one of the items is technically five items!).
I'm over the moon with how awesome the scents I got are (sometimes I think I use way too many idioms in my blog posts; I actually have to stop myself sometimes); so much so that I placed another order as soon as the summer collection was released (it hasn't shipped yet, but I'm going to definitely share it with you guys when it gets here!).
I love the stamps she puts on the bubble mailers! The rooster is Jason (if you follow DC on Instagram, you get to see all the chicken and ducky goodness!) and the shark is Devon (at least I am 99% sure he is) and they amuse me greatly.

LORAC Resort Eye & Cheek Palette - Swatches and First Impressions!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! It decided to get cold again here and to crush all my hopes of it finally being summer. I don't know why I'm at all surprised, though, as this happens every. Single. May. The heat's been off in our apartment building for a little while, but they had to turn it back on. That's how cold it is.

So how fitting is it that I post about my LORAC Resort Eye & Cheek palette, a palette intended to go with you to warm, sunshiney vacation spots? Very fitting, I think! I'm not sure what the availability of this palette is; I know it was sold for a limited time online for $20 (I'm still convinced it sold for this at one point, but the retail sticker on my box says it was $15), then it was on Hautelook for $15 (I think; somewhere around there), and then it was in Nordstrom Racks for $14.97, which is where I got mine! There were about ten left when I picked mine up a couple weeks ago, so if you are still looking for this palette (if you're interested in it at all, I'd say get since it's so affordable!) you might be able to find it.
For less than $15 (at least if you get it from Nordstrom Rack), you get six eyeshadows, two blushes, a bronzer, and a highlighter. It's a great deal and the quality of the shadows and cheek products are really good, especially for the price.

Oooo pretty!
