Another Beauty Haul! - Ulta, Sephora, and a Very Generous Gift of Shiseido!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I have another beauty haul to share with you guys! Not sure if I have anything I want to do a more in-depth post on this time around (just a lot of little things), but I may post a review or two after using some of these products.
Nothing too crazy this time around; this is another mostly Ulta-based haul. I'm really digging shopping at Ulta; they have a huge selection of brands and products and an awesome reward system! I did pick up a few items from Sephora during the VIB sale, though I do regret not getting more things... 15% off isn't a lot, but it's still something! The best part of this haul, though, at least in my opinion, is the very generous of gift of Shiseido that a friend of mine gave me. I knew she was going to give me some of her extra Facial Cotton, but I didn't know she was going to give me a whole gift with purchase set!
She even gave me the cosmetics pouch the gift came in! How awesome is that?

Aromaleigh Cosmetics Mini Haul - Blue Blush?! - Swatch & Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day (or night, as it is here). We have a mini-tragedy on our hands right now; my husband and I (and one of his co-workers) were planning on getting some customizable froyo tonight and I thought the store was open until 10pm. Turns out their summer hours haven't started yet, so they're open to 10pm only on Fridays and Saturdays. Very sad.

In lieu of getting froyo, I'm going to share with you guys my most recent order from Aromaleigh Cosmetics! Aromaleigh has been around since 1998 and, according the About Us page on their website, I've been mispronouncing their name. Yay. (It's pronounced “Aroma-lee”).
For the month of April, Aromaleigh had a limited edition collection based on the Leshy, a "male woodland spirit in Slavic mythology who protects wild animals and forests." Included in this collection are three eye shadows and a special blue blush.
Blue blush sounded like something I needed in my life, so I purchased a deluxe sample size, along with two other eye shadows.

Best Of Becca Set - Shimmering Skin Perfectors, Beach Tint, Shimmer Souffle - Swatches & First Impressions!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! For this post, I wanted to take a more in-depth look at my Best Of Becca sampler set! Becca is a mid-to-high end Australian cosmetics line and you can find it at both Sephora and Ulta.

I'm pretty sure this specific kit is no longer available, but all the products inside are part of the Becca permanent line, so I thought it would still be relevant and informative to show you guys the products in this set, along with swatches and my first impressions.

I've used a few Becca products in the past and, while this line is a little more on the expensive side, I have been very impressed! I love the Shimmering Skin Perfectors and the pressed powder foundation (I currently use the color Buttercup, which is a little too dark for my winter skin but should be perfect for summer. I just hit pan on it, however, so I'm not sure how much longer it will last me...) and have been interested in trying the pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors and Beach Tint Shimmer Souffles. The Best Of Becca set included both, along with two other products and, at $34.50, I thought it would be a great way to give them a try!
Look how gorgeous the box is; my two favorite colors to wear in the summer are coral and bronze/gold and this set has them in spades!

April 2015 Glamour Doll Eyes Of The Month - Crazy Cat Lady - Unboxing & Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! For this post, I wanted to share with you my April 2015 Glamour Doll Eyes (GDE when I don't want to write it all out) Of The Month (OTM for similar reasons), an indie makeup subscription service! If you've hung out on my blog (or watched my videos) for a while, you know that I love a. subscription services and b. indie makeup/beauty companies. Match made in heaven!

There are actually a few more indie subscription services that I want to try out but, since indie companies tend to be small and operated by one or two people, there is a limit to how many subscribers they can have. The GDE OTM is limited to around 120 subscribers, last I heard. I got very lucky with my GDE OTM and was able to snag a 6 month subscription. Vee, the owner of Glamour Doll Eyes, is going to be changing how the subscription service works again due to issues with a payment platform (at least that what I gleaned) so if you are interested in a chance to sign up, I would highly recommend joining the Facebook group to stay up to date on any new information.
This month I was extra happy that I had a six month subscription since it's CAT-THEMED! Crazy Cat Lady-themed, to be exact. We got three cat-themed makeup products, along with some candy and an adorable charm!
It even came in a box this month!

April 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag - Beautifully Bohemian - Unboxing & Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I've had pizza for dinner twice in the last two days, so I'm quite happy, if a little puffy.

For this post, I want to share with you my April 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag! This month's theme was Beautifully Bohemian, which is right up my alley. Ipsy has quite up and down over the last few months and it has been so down that I had been considering cancelling, though I can never quite do it since it's kind of annoying to resign up due to the waitlist. I've heard if you sign up using a referral link (that one is mine and I get extra points if you use it so I would be very grateful if you did if you want to sign up) you get off the waitlist faster, but I don't know for sure. You can also sign up by going to the regular website.
People tend to compare their Ipsy Glam Bags and Birchboxes since both are beauty subscription services that cost $10 a month and this month, I have to say that Ipsy wins in terms of product relevancy and enjoyment (though Birchbox is still king (queen?) when it comes to rewards).
Even the bag this month was super cute and very much "beautifully bohemian"!

April 2015 Birchbox - Fresh For Spring - Unboxing & Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! It's still a bit chilly here in the mornings, but it's getting nice and warm by the afternoon, so we're on our way to summer! Until it snows in May. Which has happened.

For this post, I wanted to share with you my April 2015 Birchbox (this is my referral link so if you signup using it I get rewards, but you can also go to the regular website to sign up)! This month's theme was Fresh For Spring, though you wouldn't have known that unless you went to the website (which I assume you did because one of the main reasons to be subscribed to Birchbox is to earn points for reviewing your samples to get money off of products). Birchbox partnered with the Rifle Paper Co. this month and made that more of the focus of the box (at least in design).
And wow, did it end up being a very pretty box! I think I say this every month, but I'm really digging all the different box designs this year. Packaging is important to me (though I don't want to sacrifice quality or value just for packaging), so I appreciate the attention to details.
I also loved the seafoam green-blue color of the mailing box! I forget what they called me this month, but they are continuing with the special, random titles before your name on your shipping address which, again, is a great attention to detail. Unfortunately, despite the pretty packaging, this ended up being one of my more disappointing boxes...

Zoya BOGO Haul! - Spring 2015 Delight Collection Plus Extras! - Swatch and Review

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! This post is going to be a closer look at my recent Zoya BOGO haul. I told myself I didn't need to buy any more nail polish, but on the very last day of the sale I caved in and bought eight polishes, which was the maximum you could buy for the the BOGO deal (you could get up to four polishes for fee). Along with the BOGO, Zoya also offered free shipping on orders $35+, and since four polishes equals $36...it worked out pretty perfectly.
I love ordering from Zoya; you get so many goodies! I got five out of the six colors from the Spring 2015 Delight collection along with three other polishes that have been waiting on my wishlist.

Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush - Candy Glow - Swatch and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I wanted to take a little more in-depth look at my Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in the color Candy Glow!
At first I was like, "Too Faced isn't that old!" then I realized they will celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2018 and now I feel super old. This blush normally retails for $30, but I got mine on sale during Ulta's 21 Days Of Beauty for $15 (less including point discounts).

A Mostly Beauty-Related Haul! - Ulta, Zoya, Urban Outfitters, and More!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! It's sunny outside, but it's cold again. It feels like Fall v2.0, even though it's supposed to be spring. It even snowed again yesterday, though it melted right away. Still. Unacceptable.

So I'm going to stay inside and pretend that the sunshine means it's warm out and catch up on my posting! I have another haul for you guys; there were a lot of good deals available (when aren't there, though?) and I had a Sally's membership to renew!
There are a few things I'm going to make individual, more in-depth posts on (such as the Becca kit and the Zoya polishes), but if you want a quick overview of some neat, new things I picked up at the start of April, then please click below! Spoiler: I bought a lot of face masks.

Maybelline Spring 2015 Rebel Bloom Color Tattoos - Rose Riot, Hydrangea Hype, and Black Orchid - Swatch and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I've been sitting on this post for a while now (for no good reason) and now it's probably not all the relevant because I don't think you can get these products anymore. BUT! On the off-chance that someone spots these for sale online or in a makeup swap group or something, I figure it would still be a semi-useful thing to post. Plus, I took a lot of pictures and I don't want them to go to waste...

As the title suggests, I wanted to share with you guys some swatches and thoughts on three of the limited edition spring 2015 Rebel Bloom collection Color Tattoos by Maybelline! To the best of my knowledge, this was a very limited collection; most stores had displays that had two, maybe three of each color and they never seemed to get restocked. There are a total of colors in this collection, but since I purchased mine from Ulta, I only got three of them (the other two were sold at other stores): Rose Riot, Hydrangea Hype, and Black Orchid.
One of my favorites from the "offend everyone in four words" tag: "Limited edition, sold out".

Haul Time! Lots of Ulta, Some Forever21, and a Little Sephora!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! This post is such a long time coming...I hate when I put blog posts off since I don't feel like I can use my new goodies until I finish writing about them!

So let's get to this haul! All the title suggests, this is a very Ulta-based haul. I'm finding myself preferring Ulta over Sephora (as opposed to the other way around like last year), specifically for the rewards program. Both companies offer rewards based on a points system, but where Sephora lets you trade in points to get deluxe-size samples (or special kits), Ulta gives you money off basically anything in the store. I used to prefer the deluxe samples over money off since I prefer using sample-size products, but now, because of my subscription services, I'm flush with samples and now like the flexibility of money off.

Ulta also recently had their 21 Days Of Beauty, which is like a three week long semi-annual event where there are special one-day deals (or until supplies last, which isn't too long). I took advantage of some of those deals, along with some of the neat stuff that's now (or was) on clearance!

Sephora Favorites - The Great Cleanse Set - Review!

Hello! Hope you're all having a great day! I apologize for the long break between posting (again...); my cold apparently never went away and now it's back for round two. Also, it snowed. In April. So that was a thing. Better than the unfortunate, tornado-filled weather elsewhere, though.

For this post, I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the Sephora Favorites The Great Cleanse set (available here). This set is made up of twelve different sample and travel sized face-cleaning products including makeup removers, cleansing waters, and cleansing oils. It costs $48 and has an estimated retail value of $126. And, spoiler alert, I think you need to buy this set. Like, right now if possible. It is absolutely worth the $48 and you get a great variety of useful products! The only reason why I could see someone not needing/wanting to purchase this set is if they already found their holy grail cleansers and don't want to try anything else ever.
I, however, love to try new things and there are some awesome things in this set to try! Admittedly, I haven't tried everything in this set yet (though I have tried more now since I made my video), but I wanted to share my thoughts on the products I have tried and give you a little more information on each of the products, including sample sizes and values (many of which are actually purchasable travel sizes).

March 2015 Glamour Doll Eyes Of The Month - Indie Subscription - Unboxing & Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! It seemed like spring had sprung here, but alas, we still have some chilly weather to slog through unfortunately.

For this post, I wanted to share with you my March 2015 Glamour Doll Eyes (GDE from here on out) Of The Month (OTM from here on out)! I got mine a little late last month due to post office concerns (I feel bad throwing the post office under the bus since my husband worked as a letter carrier for a while and it's a pretty demanding job, but lately it just seems like they don't really care anymore and I've had more issues with getting packages delivered than I care to deal with), but it came and it was totally worth the wait!

The GDE OTM is a monthly subscription service offered by the indie cosmetics company Glamour Doll Eyes. GDE is one of my favorite indie companies because Vee, the owner/creator, runs a tight ship and my orders are processed and received quickly and efficiently and the formulation of her products is top notch, especially for the price! This subscription is $10 a month (which includes shipping!) and includes a special, full size eyeshadow made exclusively for that month along with some other goodies. Along with some candy!
It's a great subscription service and is very popular; so popular, in fact, that there are very few spots open each month and you have to enter a raffle (which you can do at the OTM website) in order to win a chance to purchase a subscription.
