LORAC AlterEgo Lipstick - Goddess - Swatch and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I wanted to do a quick post about my LORAC AlterEgo lipstick in the color Goddess!
My friend got this lipstick for me for Valentine's Day; I knew I already loved the LORAC AlterEgo lipsticks since I got the Kohl's exclusive set and someone on Youtube commented on one of my videos suggesting I try the color Goddess. So, when my friend asked me what color I wanted, I didn't hesitate asking for Goddess.

Stila Blooming Bright Convertible Color Trio - Swatch and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a good day! I'm cranking out these blog posts today since I need to clear off my desk! I'm also waiting for my upstairs neighbors to stop being so noisy so I can try and film some more videos for Youtube, but I'm not sure if they're going to be leaving any time soon.

For this post, I wanted to share with you guys the Stila Blooming Bright Convertible Color Trio I recently picked up!

I really like cream cheek products, and Stila's Convertible Color lip and cheek products have been a cult favorite for a long time now. I've tried them in the past, but that was before I realized how much I liked cream blushes, so I don't think I fully appreciated them (plus I always had the color Peony, which I don't think I was too fond of). For spring 2015, Stila released two sets of mini trios of their Convertible Colors, so I thought now was a good time to try them again!
Add to that a special promotion where I got 25% and free shipping and I couldn't say no.

March 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag - Floral Fantasy - Unboxing and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day; it seemed like spring was finally here, but it got cold and snowy again, so it's back to the winter blues. We're getting closer and closer to "actual" spring, though, and we're going to get the warm, sunny weather back soon, so I just have to deal with winter for a little longer.

For this post I'm going to share with you my March 2015 Ipsy glam bag! I actually have no clue if it's still officially called the "glam bag" or if it's just Ipsy now or what; when you tag your pictures on social media, they want you to use #ipsy and #marchglambag so it's probably both.
Overall, my March Ipsy glam bag was pretty so-so; not as bad as some of the past bags, but not as good as last month.
Hopefully, Ipsy doesn't slide back down in quality again, otherwise I may consider unsubscribing (not sure, though, since if I want to resubscribe, I'll be stuck on the waiting list again).

March 2015 Birchbox - Creativity - Unboxing & Review!

Hello! So. Wow. Yeah. Been a while! It's been a little crazy here with work and life in general, but things have evened out again, so here I am! ...also there's a lot of stuff on my desk and I need to clean my brushes so I need to get things cleared out so there's that, too.

This is the unboxing and review of my March 2015 Birchbox! This month's theme was "Creativity" and, spoiler alert, this is one of my top favorite boxes!
Some quick Birchbox info: Birchbox is a $10 a month (including shipping) beauty/lifestyle subscription service where you get about five (I've gotten more than five, but not less than five) samples to try. While Birchbox tends to only give you deluxe sample sizes (you can get full sized products, but it's pretty rare) and the "box value" can be a little on the lower side (though I've never gotten a box that was worth less than what I paid), they have an awesome reward system! For every product you review from your box, you earn 10 Birchbox points (so a minimum of 50 points per box; I've been able to earn up to 70 points from a single box). You can then use those points to get money off products in the Birchbox store (100 points = $10). On top of that, if a product or brand is featured in that month's box, it will ship for free!
Whatever Birchbox lacks in the sample department (and from what I've received, the samples are generally pretty good!), they definitely make up for with their rewards and discounts.

Dessange VoxBox - California Blonde Collection - Unboxing and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! It's not quite as sunny here today, but it's just as warm, so I can't really complain. I'm just so so so happy that it seems like spring is finally here; every winter just seems to get a little harder for me each year.

Weather aside, this post is going to be about an Influenster VoxBox I received! I was selected to participate in the Dessange VoxBox and I got three products from their California Blonde collection to try. I was given these products free of charge for review purposes, but I promise that my thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

When I got the notification that I got into the Dessange VoxBox, I actually had to Goggle the company since I had never heard of it before.
Turns out, it's a Parisian salon that was opened in 1954 by Jacques Dessange (who is the official hairdresser of the Cannes Film Festival, which is pretty cool).
This is the first time that the Dessange products are available in the United States, so I was pretty excited to try them out!

Zoya Natural Satin Nail Polish Collection - Swatches and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day!

For this post I wanted to take a more in-depth look at the Zoya Natural Satins nail polish collection! This is their winter/spring 2015 transition collection and it is gorgeous. The collection made up of size different polishes, all with a special Satin finish. There have been a lot of polishes lately that tout satin/cashmere/demi-matte finishes, but I think this collection is one of the best! I am a little biased, though, since Zoya is my favorite nail polish brand, but they really did a great job both formula and color-wise with this collection.

Out of the six colors, I purchased four; I wasn't sure I would like Rowan or Leah color-wise, but I'll probably purchase them as well at some point (especially if they go on sale at my Ulta!).
Bottom to top I got Brittany, Ana, Sage, and Tove! Also, this picture if from my Instagram because I apparently didn't take a group shot with my camera...

A Small Haul - Ulta, Sephora, Urban Outfitters, and More!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! It's warm and sunny and spring seems to finally be here; it's such a relief after the cold and gloom of winter. ...if you can't tell, I'm not a big fan of winter, which might lead you to question why I live in Minnesota. It's okay, I question it, too.

For this post, I have a smallish haul to share with you guys! I suppose it's more on the medium side, but let's not split hairs. I'm going to continue with my experiment of keeping things brief in these big overviews and then expanding a little more on certain items in individual posts.
I hit up the usual places for this haul, Ulta and Sephora, and I got some things from Urban Outfitters and Target as well! I also have a few things my mom gave me; she's been getting into makeup more recently and, since I pass on things to her, she passed on a few things to me.

My First Black Violet Order - Indie Fragrance & Body Care!

Hello! Hope you're having a great start to spring! It's been getting warm and sunny here (finally) and I hope this means we're well on our way to spring. Of course, living in Minnesota means you never know when the next snowstorm will be...

For this post, I want to share with you guys my first order from the Black Violet Perfume Vault and Bathory, an indie fragrance and body care company!

As with many of my recent indie finds, I first heard about Black Violet from the Evolution Of A Foodie blog. She had great things to day about Black Violet's products, specifically their Detangler Mist. Black Violet recently discontinued their old formulation and are coming out soon with a new one; I knew I wanted to try the old one first since that was the one that Evolution Of A Foodie had reviewed and, unfortunately, sometimes new isn't always better.
I ended up placing an order for a full size Detangler Mist and a travel size Glow Body Oil.

Gala's Gems - Color Club Birchbox Exclusive Nail Polish Set - Swatches and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! For this post I wanted to take a more in-depth look at my Gala's Gems Color Club nail polish set from Birchbox.
This is a four piece mini nail polish set that is exclusive to Birchbox that was designed with help from Gala Gonzalez, a fashion blogger. I'm going to quote directly from the item description on the Birchbox website since it's just easier: "Most fashion bloggers report on trends, but Gala Gonzalez is shaping them—starting from the hands up. This spring, the Spanish-born blogger, stylist, and DJ teamed up with Color Club to launch this four-piece nail polish collection. Perfect for spring, these pastel hues are inspired by the retro lacquers of the 70s and 80s, complete with a luxe pearl finish. Paired with on-trend, opaque color, the results are both modern and sleek." Admittedly, I have no clue who Gala is since I don't really follow things like that, but I fell in love with these polishes, especially for spring!
Not sure really why I have a picture of the back of the box; it doesn't have any pertinent information besides the ingredients, but dangit I like being thorough.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick - Legendary - Swatch and Review!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I wanted to take a little more in-depth look at my new Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in the color Legendary!
I'm going to keep this short and sweet, so I might not even need to cut this post! As I stated in my recent haul, my Ulta was having a Smashbox event at which I ended up giving this lipstick a try. I've used quite a few Smashbox products in the past and have felt pretty indifferent about the brand, but I was very impressed with this lipstick!

Haul Time! Ulta, Sephora, and Birchbox!

Hello! Hope you're having a great day! I have another haul I want to share with you guys! Since I want to start focuses more on individual product reviews and less on big chunky hauls, if you see anything you'd be interested in hearing a little bit more about, please let me know! I also will probably pick and choose some things to review on my own as well, but it's nice to know what you guys want to see.

I did come to the conclusion that I do still like doing these big ole' haul posts since I like to see other people's hauls and I think it's a good way to catalog what I got when (since I have a terrible memory and easily forget...).
It amuses me that this is the same picture as the thumbnail for my Youtube video; it's the only overveiw picture I have, though, so I thought it would be fitting. This is just my Sephora order, so if you're interested in seeing what else I got from Ulta and Birchbox, please click below!
