Mini Haul! - Ulta, Sally's, Kohl's, Target, and More!

Hello! Hope you guys are doing well! It's been raining like crazy today; our patio started leaking and the courtyard of our apartment is now a shallow lake. Awesome. I think I like snow more than rain, but I hate being cold. If it could be summer and snow instead of rain, that would be perfect. Well, we all can dream...

Anywho! Yes, I have another haul for you guys! I'm in that weird lull where I don't have any subscription boxes to unbox nor is it time for my favorites (which I only make videos for; I don't post them in my blog because I'm lazy and don't want my Youtube channel and blog to line up exactly).

Onward to the material possessions!

April 2014 Ipsy Bag - Beauty Rocks! - Unbagging and Review!

Hello! Hope you're all doing well! Today is one of those rainy, dreary spring kind of days, but I don't want to complain too much since it's not snowing and it's not too terribly cold (I was able to walk home from work sans gloves and scarf and it wasn't all that bad. My hands and nose got a little red, but that's all). Hopefully this means we've tipped over to spring and are finally out of winter, but with Minnesota, you can never be sure (at least not until the middle of May)!

For this post, I want to show you guys what I got in my April 2014 Ipsy bag! If you're at all interested, I really do recommend giving Ipsy a try; it's only $10 a month and you generally get a good amount of nice stuff!

What surprises can be found in my pink bubble mailer this month?

Spring 2014 Zoya Nail Polish Haul!

Hello! Hope you're all having a "Hoppy" Easter (haha, sorry, I couldn't resist)! It's a gorgeous day outside and perfect for celebrating fertility, reproduction, and the renewal of life (and eating delicious marshmallow bunnies and chocolate eggs. Cabury Mini Chocolate Eggs are the greatest chocolate candies ever made. Ever). Unfortunately, my husband has to work today, so I'm stuck home with not much to do. Except make blog posts and videos! Yay!

This post is going to be all about my very first Zoya polish order! I really, really wanted to try their new Magical Pixie Dust polishes, but I didn't want to wait for my Ulta to get them in stock. My Ulta is nice and all, but it's really, really bad at getting Zoya polishes in stock. I just went there on Friday and they still don't have the spring collection in! I ended up ordering a little more polish than I expected because I hate paying for shipping, but since Zoya is probably my favorite brand of polish. Ever. I'm very pleased with what I got!
Let's see what I got!

Springtime Haul! - Sephora, Ulta, MAC, and More!

Hello! Yes, I am making another post today, though this will probably be the last! I got a lot of things to post about at once this month, and I really, really don't want to fall behind so I'm just trying to power through! I realize I've been post quite a few hauls lately, but I've had some extra cash from the convention and there are some great, new products that I wanted to try!

This post is going to be the Round 2 shopping spree with my 15% Sephora VIB Rouge coupon, a couple things from Ulta, one product from MAC, and then a couple random things, including some stuff I bought at the convention.
Sexy shopping bag shot!

April 2014 Blush.com Mystery Beauty Box - Unboxing and Review!

Hello! I'm in a cleaning and organizing mood today, which is why I'm making so many blog posts! I want to get all the stuff sitting around my desk put away, and I feel like I can't do that until I post about it (otherwise, I'll forget about it and then I'll have to go find it and recollect everything and it's just easier this way). I also feel like I can't really start to integrate products into my daily routine until I blog about them and put them away, so there's that motivation as well.

This post is going to be for my April 2014 Blush.com Mystery Beauty Box! I don't really hear a lot about this box so I don't know if it's just not as well known or if a lot of people don't like it or what, but it's my favorite mid-range subscription service (Ipsy is my favorite $10-$15 range subscription). For $24.95 a month (I have to pay tax on it ever since Target bought Blush.com, so mine's more around $27), shipping included, you get a box with a bag filled with over $100 worth of beauty products. What makes this box so great, besides the promised $100+ value, is that it's backed by the trio of Blush.com, Hairenvy.com, and Dermstore.com, so there are a ton of different brands and products you could get. This box focuses less on color cosmetics and more on skincare and hair care, so if that's your thing, I highly suggest you look into signing up for this subscription service!
It's a bag! In a box! Filled with surprises!

April 2014 Julep Maven Box - Classic With a Twist Plus an Add-On! - Unboxing and Review

Hello! I'm catching up on my blog posts! I'm getting this one up before the window opens to select polish colors for May 2014, so that's pretty neat. I'm kind of excited for the May 2014 box; I believe that's when Julep is going to release the new Plie nail polish wand. I didn't contribute to the Kickstarter (I think it was on a different fund-raising site, like Crowdfund, but I can't remember) so I'm not guaranteed to get it, but if it isn't too expensive I might pick it up to give it a try.

For April 2014, Julep released the Vivid collection along with two blush colors and two new bronzers! I ended up going with the Classic With a Twist box; it came with two polishes and a blush and I added on a third polish. I almost wish I had gone with the Bombshell box instead, but that's my own fault.

Let's see what I got!

I Like Buying Things! - Another Haul! - CCO: MAC, Coach Outlet, Sephora, and More!

Hello! Exclamation points are all over the place! Because excitement! Also because it is very difficult to express tone and intonation through the internet and using exclamation points makes sentences sound more friendly and bubbly. I feel like with the amount of time we now spend communicating with written words we really need to come up with a few more types of punctuation to help express the nuances of the English language. ...I took a lot of literary/language courses in college.

ANYWAYS. Yes, this is another haul! Ugh, it's starting to look like all I ever do is spend money on crap. Which I suppose is technically true, but these hauls are older and are usually over a certain span of time; they're not money-crazed one day shopping sprees. Usually. This haul should be pretty interesting since I went to our Premium Outlet mall and got some neat stuff, and it was the start of the Sephora VIB Rouge 15% off sale!

Haul Time! - Ulta, Sephora, MAC, and Bath and Body Works! Plus Some Random Extras!

Hello! Today was such a gorgeous day out! It got up to 70°F, which is awesome and much needed. I hope things stay this way; last year we still had snow on May 2nd so you never know with Minnesota... I'm so over winter, as I'm sure pretty much everyone else ever is, and look forward to all the warm, sunny days in the future!

This post is going to be another haul! What can I say, I like trying new and different things (though I do have some "holy grail" products that never change). I also like to rotate my make-up out every so often; I'm a bit of a germaphobe and once I start to feel that my make-up is getting old and dirty I get the urge to replace it. I don't throw things away, though (unless it really has gone bad or it's something I can't really sterilize like mascara). I pass them on to my mom and sister, with a full disclosure of how long I had it, how often I used it, and anything else that might be "wrong" with it, so I don't feel too wasteful.

This haul is going to be a combination of two online orders, one from Ulta and one from Sephora, some MAC (actually, I think it's only one MAC product...), some PocketBacs from Bath and Body Works, and then a few extra things that I didn't know where else to put.
Gratuitous Ulta.com order box shot!

March 2014 Blush.com Mystery Beauty Box - Unboxing and Review!

Hello! I'm still trying to get all these posts up before I get overwhelmed again! I'm surprised at how long this is taking me; usually I'm not such a procrastinator (except that's a lie and I totally am. I'm just really embarrassed about it...). With the weather getting nicer and the sun staying out longer, I think I'm starting to feel re-energized so perhaps I'll get back into the habit of keeping my blog (relatively) up-to-date!

This post, as the title suggests, is going to be an unboxing and review of my March 2014 Blush.com Mystery Beauty Box! I really love this subscription box; it's always worth the $25 I spend and you get so many different and interesting things.
A box of mystery!

Lolita And J-Fashion Haul!

Hello! ...I have so many posts to do and so little time to do them in! This weekend was Anime Detour and my very first Artist Alley table. It went very well (despite the fact that I got violently ill Saturday night and was convinced I was going to die) and I had a ton of fun; I'm for sure going to do it again next year (though I'm going to be much more prepared and I also hopefully won't almost die again).

I have so much stuff building up around my desk that I really, really need to get posts up, so I'm trying to break them down into more manageable chunks (you know, instead of one gigantic haul that's way too long to read). For this post, I'm going to focus on my recent Lolita and J-Fashion purchases!

Super Duper Belated Valentine's Day Post! Also Some Random Things I Baked!

Hello! So...I know Valentine's Day was almost two months ago now (time goes way too fast sometimes!) but I realized I never showed you guys what my husband got me! I was going to make a short little post about it, but one of the gifts he got me was delayed in shipping due to the ridiculous amounts of snowstorms we had. By the time it got here, I had already moved on to other posts and didn't think it would be worth going back and actually making a Valentine's Day post.

Why am I doing it now? I was going through the pictures I have on stand-by for my blog and saw the ones of the things my husband got me, which rekindled my desire to tell you guys about them. And if that isn't the most convoluted line of reasoning ever about whether or not to make a blog post, I don't know what is!

Click below if you want to see what I got! Also, I'm including some random tasty things I baked since I don't really know where else to put them...

March 2014 Ipsy Bag - Unboxing and Review!

Hello! Once again, I am posting about a March subscription box in April...at least this time my April Ipsy bag hasn't come yet (though I wish it had; I get very excited)! I'm trying to clear out my work space since I have so much still to do to get ready for the convention this weekend; especially since, for some reason, I decided it would be a great idea to try and sell things at it...
Pink bubble mailer! I actually find these kind of amusing; we get the Uline catalog at work (Uline is like a business supply company, especially when it comes to shipping/storage products) and every time I see these in there it makes me giggle. Weird, I know.

March 2014 Julep Maven - Boho Glam Plus Add-On - Unboxing and Review!

Hello! Uh, so, yeah. Wow. It's been a while. I always forget if Blogger uses the date you started a post or the date you finished a post (I think it's the latter), but I'm definitely writing a post about my March 2014 Julep Maven box in April. After I've already gotten my April box. I don't know why I've been avoiding blogging, I really do like it! I mean, I like making videos more, but I still think it's fun.

I have a lot of posts I'm going to try and power through (I also want to make a few videos today as well, not to mention the fact that I have a ton of crocheting to do for the Artist Alley at the convention that starts tomorrow. What have I gotten myself into?!
Hopefully this will be as interesting and as informative as any of my other posts (...which I hope are, in fact, interesting and informative).
